Alex Moore for Ward 10
I’m Alex Moore, and I’m running for City Council to bring accountability, real solutions, and a stronger sense of community to Ward 10.
Who am I?
I’ve spent my life working with people, solving problems, and showing up when it matters. I believe in a straightforward approach: say what you mean and mean what you say. I intend to show up, listen to you, and do the work that actually moves our community forward.
Professionally, I’m a small business owner, and I’ve built a career in sales and operations, managing teams, supporting clients, and working in fast-paced environments where communication and follow-through are critical. I am Bilingual (English/French), with conversational German and Spanish.
For over 20 years, I’ve coached and instructed in martial arts, working with both youth and adults from all walks of life. In those environments, accountability, respect, and discipline are the foundation of success. I’ve helped people build confidence, navigate challenges, and stay focused under pressure.
But the most important part of who I am is my family and my community.
I’m a husband, a father, and a proud resident of London. Like many families, we’ve faced and continue to face challenges that shape how I see the world and the systems people rely on every day. Like you, I know that the city doesn't end at the boundary of our wards. We need to work together to make the whole city a better place to live for all of us.I’ll bring my experience and a genuine commitment to this community to help Ward 10 feel more connected to the decisions made at City Hall.
Why am I running?
I’m running for City Council because I care deeply about this community and want to help make it better for the future.
London is our home. It’s where my family lives, and where so many people are trying to build a good life. London is a great city, but I also believe we can do better.
I hear from Londoners everyday, that they are not feeling heard. Londoners who know we’re paying more in taxes, while seeing challenges grow. Neighbours who say that we need better leadership, someone who listens to our community and shows up for us. I’m ready to serve you, my community, and my city, to listen, to lead, and find solutions that work.
My family has experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate systems, to get help when you need it, and how devastating the consequences can be when people can’t access the support they need in time. I’ve seen how local voices are being diminished and control over our communities seems to be shifting to the province. All of this has shaped how I think about what people deserve from their city: honesty, consistency, and a real commitment to helping people move forward.
That’s why I’m running.
To help make things better. To be present. To listen. To make decisions that reflect what’s best for the people who live here, both now and in the future.
Ward 10 deserves a councillor who shows up, stays accountable, and does the work every day. Not just during an election.
What will I do for Ward 10?
One person can't do it all. No matter how strong your platform, no matter how passionate you are about an issue, no matter what promises you make, a city councillor has one voice and one vote at the table.
We need collaborative team players to work together to make real change and navigate the incredible growth London is experiencing.
We need ethical, committed people we can trust to make decisions that benefit our community. People who know how to put their own priorities aside to make London a great place to live for generations to come.
That's how I work and how I lead. So if you elect me for Ward 10, I will:
Be Accountable to Residents
-
Share regular Ward 10 updates throughout the year
-
Hold consistent town halls (in-person and virtual)
-
Be clear and open about major decisions and votes
-
Make sure every resident who reaches out gets a real response and follow-up
Support Real Solutions for Housing, Mental Health & Addictions
-
I believe in coordinated approaches to housing, health care, and recovery
-
I will advocate for better access to treatment for mental illness and addiction and long-term support
-
I will work with provincial and community partners to strengthen local resources
-
I will focus on helping people find next steps and solutions
Manage Growth Responsibly
-
I will be accountable to residents and work to ensure the same level of transparency and follow-through at City Hall.
-
I will firmly oppose post-approval (bait-and-switch) changes to developments
-
I will support housing and growth that is well-planned, sustainable, and benefits the community.
Respect Your Tax Dollars
-
I will demand transparency, pushing for clear connections between spending and results
-
I will prioritize the essentials: focusing on the services residents rely on every day
-
I will ask tough questions of staff and politicians to ensure responsible decisions
-
I will consider the impact of our choices today on the generations of tomorrow.
How can you reach me?
I want to hear from you.
I’ve shared what I believe, but what matters most is what you think. If you have questions, concerns, or ideas for Ward 10, please reach out. Your input is what should shape the work ahead.
